Description

- Universal street light -

Sometimes you are just standing at the right place to get some strange inspiration.

in this case, the sun just got trough the clouds and it got my attention.
And from where I was standing, the street light was holding the sun.

Everything that happened after this shot was just pure torture for the soul and was my worst day of this year so far.
Ill do a blog about it later.

edit
redone.

Being a strategically captured shot that places the light of the sun at a street lamp that is usually lit at night, it seems fitting that the streets are empty and deserted.

Still, there are a few things that could be improved.

The tree on the left of the shot seems to distract, especially since it is quite dark. It throws the balance of the shot off a little and would probably have been better if it were cropped out of the shot. It might have been there because of the need to capture that fantastic sky there, but there is still plenty of sky without it.

I would have liked it if the general environment were a little brighter. For example, to have the cars along the street glowing in the light of the sun a bit more than it currently is. However, I do understand the need to keep the exposure down in this sort of shot. HDR would have worked great here.

All-in-all, this piece needs a little polishing up and with the right amount of tweaking, could become a gem.
